"Despite calls of delay, GST will come by July 1st. It will become harder for people to stay informal and they will have to come into the tax net. The 18 % or 28 % rates certainly need a relook, but right now we can't afford it. Once our revenues are steady, there is a reason for consumers also to benefit from GST. And that they will."
