Set infrastructure first
Thank you for the cover story on mandatory hallmarking detailing the pros and cons of hallmarking on the
jewellery industry. The government wants to enforce mandatory hallmarking. But infrastructure- wise they’re not still equipped. There are so many stores across the country and there are not so many hallmarking centers. If each and every product goes for hallmarking, the government does not have the facility to do it.
