Reader’s Response: Excise duty on jewellery cripples the industry

                                   Don't link GST with excise  

The Government doesn't need excise to implement GST. First of all jewellers are pro GST and not anti GST. Right now we stand a loss of 1 per cent VAT/CST on Ex-state purchases. With inclusion of GST we will be benefited by that tax as it will adjusted in our tax payments.
